Behind the Scenes: The original concept for the Backworlds series came out of my love for the series Firefly. The idea that characters are sometimes good and sometimes bad is fun and more realistic. This was actually the first book written in the series and began as a short story with the Water-breather walking into Craze’s bar. A good yarn set in outer space is my favorite kind of story.
