The Series / Status: Kickstarter Launch Fall 2025, Books Complete and Releasing 2026
The universe may be ridiculous, but Squad 51 isn’t. This crack team of space rescuers tackles bizarre crises from giant icebergs in space populated by carnivorous moss balls (Spaceberg), to out-of-control space junk (Space Trash), to an invasive cosmic weed (Space Weed). They take on the dangers in the Sol with skill, courage, and a touch of wit. No matter how absurd the disaster, Squad 51 rises to the challenge and keeps the Sol safe.
What Inspired Space Squad 51?
- Love of space opera
- Love some fun laughs
- Love of amusing bad science fiction movies
- Love of disaster movies
- Love of fist responder television shows
This series continues to make me smile with its exploration of life in space and some of the silliness that unfolds. My favorite scene is probably space charades in Space Weed. My favorite characters of all time are definitely the space barons in Space Trash. There are a ton of Easter eggs in the Space Squad 51 series. They were liberally sprinkled throughout the books. See how many you can spot.
Fun Fact: There is a Space Squad 51 book 2.5 called Space Hitched. It’s only available through Kickstarter. Be on the lookout for my next campaign if you want to get your hands on this gem!
The Books in Order

Space Worms – Releasing 1/13/2026. Now on Preorder! You can thank my Kickstarter backers for this extra Space Squad 51 adventure. It’s a delicious mix of boy bands, genetic experiments, and our heroes first taste of saving the Sol. I had a blast writing with my Kickstarter backers and putting several of them in the story.
Spaceberg – Was originally published in Pew, Pew Volume 1. A giant iceberg in space has another problem. It’s populated by carnivorous moss balls!
Space Trash (coming soon in 2025) – In book 2, an illegal space dump appears in orbit around Saturn, causing huge troubles for Rhea. Oh, and this trash is alien trash from the future.
Space Weed (coming soon in 2025) – Weeds are always an issue, especially in the middle of space.
